Architectural Expertise Meets Passion for Aviation in Bespoke, Metal/Wood-Shaped Aviation Inspired Furnishings
With over three decades of experience in the built environment in South Africa, my architectural journey has always been guided by precision and creativity. A lifelong love for aviation inspired me to explore new horizons — designing bespoke furniture that captures the essence of flight.
Leveraging my skills in design, 3D modeling, rapid prototyping & 3D printing, I have combined cutting-edge technology with the traditional craft of metal shaping & carpentry to bring my creations to life. Each piece is carefully crafted to capture the spirit of aviation, with sleek lines, dynamic forms, and a sense of motion.
Through this process, I aim to create functional art that tells a story — where my architectural expertise and love for aviation meet to shape truly unique furniture pieces, creating something out of nothing at all.

Wing desk
Inspired by Flight: Precision-Made Aluminium Desk for Aviation Lovers

Product description:
Our wing desk’s structure is made from 1,2mm thick aluminium sheeting which is laser cut into various rib shaped patterns. The various rib parts are then hammer formed by hand to create the ribbed structure before everything is cladded with aluminium sheeting, fixed with rivets and finished into various gloss & brushed aluminium sections, including minor painted areas in olive drab. The adjustable leg of the table is modeled after the shape of a crow’s foot, manufactured out of mild steel and is finally powder coated.

Crafted from high-quality meranti timber, our propellers are meticulously stained to enhance their natural grain, then expertly finished with three layers of clear coat for a sleek, satin look.
This durable, multi-step process not only highlights the wood’s rich texture but also ensures long-lasting beauty and protection, making each propeller a standout piece in any decor
The center hub of our propellers is expertly crafted from 8mm thick aluminum plate, precision-turned on a lathe to replicate the authentic look of a true aircraft propeller hub. Steel is used for the Curtiss JN-4 propeller’s center hub
The propeller tips of the Curtiss JN-4 Replica is hammer formed / wheeled from 1050 Aluminium, after which it is electroplated to provide an authentic aged brass finish
This detailed process ensures a robust, realistic design that captures the essence of aviation engineering & history while adding a sleek, industrial edge to each piece
Wall bracket, Rotary hub and floor standing pedestal:
Our custom steel bracket for wall mounting is finished in black powder coating & allows for manual rotation of the propeller to easily change display orientation. This is only a fixing mechanism and not suitable for excessive rotation. We add our gun metal blue motor plate with bolt pattern to the Curtiss JN-4 Propeller option
Our rotary device is operated by way of a remote switch including speed control, hidden behind an authentic steel radial hub, finished with a gun metal blue chemical process to give it a vintage feel
Our floor-standing pedestals are constructed from 1050 Aluminium, riveted together & finished in satin (or gloss). This refined process creates a smooth, aviation inspired base that enhances the beauty of your propeller, while providing a sturdy and stylish foundation for display

Crafted from mild steel & finished with a gunmetal blue chemical process, also including brass accents which adds to the high level of detail.
The upper luminaire holder follows the profile of an aerofoil and consists of 1050 aluminium fins, held together by way of a brass fixing rod.
The lamp receives 2 x 30cm tube form bulbs and a dimmer switch with memory functions
Ceiling Mounted Propeller Light;
Standard propeller mounted with mild steel fixing bracket, finished with gun metal blue chemical process
The height from ceiling to propeller and also the length of the pendants can be adjusted to suite your space
Light fitting received 4 x Edison style bulbs as pendants
